Abstrak

Rapid advancements in digital technologies such as crowdfunding, blockchain, and artificial intelligence (AI) have transformed the landscape of digital entrepreneurship, particularly among Generation Z. However, previous studies have yielded mixed results regarding the impact of these new technologies on digital entrepreneurial intention, and the role of technological literacy in strengthening this relationship has not been extensively explored in the existing literature. Therefore, this study examines the effects of crowdfunding, blockchain, and AI performance on digital entrepreneurial intention and assesses the moderating role of AI literacy. This research employs a quantitative method based on Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected from 425 Generation Z respondents in Indonesia using a Likert-scale questionnaire. The study results show that crowdfunding has a positive and significant effect on motivation for digital entrepreneurship. However, blockchain and AI performance did not show a significant direct effect. Moderation analysis shows that understanding AI significantly influences the relationship between blockchain and digital entrepreneurial intention. Nonetheless, knowing about AI does not greatly change how crowdfunding, blockchain, and AI performance connect with the desire to start a digital business. These results show how important digital funding platforms are for encouraging young people from Generation Z to start their own businesses. They also stress how vital it is to understand AI to make the best use of new technologies in online entrepreneurship.
